I had seen this buck three times through archery season and each time he was at a very fast walk, so no shot. I was about a 1/2 mile from where I had seen him before. He was coming through the saplings at a very fast walk, on a mission. I tried to get on him in small holes twice but he was moving to fast. I found a little bigger hole, my last and touched the trigger when the crosshair touched his brisket. I was very lucky and hit him in the top of the heart, he made a mad dash about 50yrds. and colapsed. Lightfield slugs make my shotgun into a big bore rifle.
