Hi Randy, I know as a company you guys cannot afford to have the tools to make all shotguns into DSG conversion. My question is are you guys capable of turning my Mossberg 500A pump 12 Gauge chambered for 2 3/4 and 3" shells into a DSG? My receiver is already tapped for a scope [...] Read More
Hi Randy, I shoot 12 gauge 2 3/4" Lightfield Hybred Exp's in an Ithaca Deerslayer II (made in King Ferry, NY - before the move to Ohio). What I have noticed is that the first shot I take through a clean barrel is off by quite a bit, but that once the barrel is fouled [...] Read More
Randy, Thanks for the quick response to my question about the Exp's through a clean barrel. I'm not looking for ridiculous accuracy, but I do want to have confidence in my weapon -- something I haven't really had since switching from rifle to a slug gun. Would firing a few cheap birdshot loads before sighting [...] Read More

Hi Randy, as an owner of an already decent shooting Mossberg 695 bolt action slug gun, what modifications or improvements can I make to increase the accuracy of my weapon? The abysmal trigger pull is definitely on my list, but I'm not sure what other changes would yield discernable improvements. Any suggestions? Thanks, Joe Joe, [...] Read More
What’s with the new 16 ga slug, what makes it better than the old one? Mel, Since there is no 3" mag. version of a 16 ga. slug gun, increasing the weight from 7/8oz up to a full 1oz. sabot gives the 16 ga. better all round performance as a slug gun. Randy Read More
Hi Randy, I own a Remington 11-87 shotgun. I know that you guys cannot do a full conversion on a semi-auto due to the gas rings, etc. but could you guys do a trigger job and maybe replace the barrel with one of your custom barrels? Thanks for your input! Al. Al, We can do [...] Read More
Randy, I've been shooting Lightfield Hybrids for probably 20 plus years through several different guns. I would like to thank you for years of great shooting! My question is what scopes do you recommend for the heavy recoil of 3" Exp's. I've broke Nikons and Weavers! Shooting Benelli sbe with ER Shaw custom barrel. Price [...] Read More
What is the twist rate of the Shaw barrels that you put on your guns? 20 gauge barrels are 1-23 twist 16 gauge barrels are 1-30 twist 12 gauge barrels are 1-28 twist TarHunt pioneered these twist rates back in 1992-1994. Since all the other companies didn't care about slug hunters at that time they [...] Read More
