I'm just writing to tell you how happy and pleased I am that I purchased a Tar-Hunt gun. When I rist got the gun I never really tested it to see what it could do. Well that all changed about two weeks ago. Now I have a deep appreciation for this gun. I was told that the gun was capable of whooting 1-1/4 inch groups at 100 yards, but now I know it's true. After putting two slugs in the same hole at 25 yards I proceeded to stretch out to 100 yards. I shot a 1-1/4 inch group, just as promised. Boy I'm really glad I spent the extra money to purchase the Tar-Hunt. Not only is the gun a beauty, but it's got rifle-like accuracy.
Way to go!

The gun is a great shooter all the way out to 200 yards, I haven't tried any further. On a calm day all five slugs in the same hole, 3 inch groups at 150 yards, all with Lightfield slugs. Both slugs on the target I shot at 200 yards were touching each other.
I won, or was top gun in all the turkey shoots I was in. This is a picture of me with the gun and bottle of Canadian Club. The bottle has a $50.00 bill taped to it, top score of the day.
Thanks again!

Just wanted to drop you guys an email. I received my RSG-12 for this season (2003) and wanted to share my thoughts with you. First of all, I loved the look, the feel, and the handling of the shotgun as soon as I took it out of the box. I have to admit I was a little worried since I had never even seen a Tar-Hunt RSG before ordering. I'm a transplant to the midwest and shotgun hunting for deer was new to me. I grew up using a bolt action rifle (270) for deer and I just wasn't happy with the accuracy of most slugguns. After searching the internet and reading a few reviews, I decided to order an RSG.
At the range it quickly became apparant to me that the gun was better than were my shotgun benchrest skills. The helpful hints I found on your website and within your downloadable catalog for sighting in your shotgun proved invaluble, because I had to change my rifle shooting technique to a shotgun shooting technique. This made a world of difference. After my fourth trip to the range, I shot a 1 inch 3-shot group at 50 yards and a 1-1/2 inch group at 100 yards. Those groups are measured edge to edge. I am sure I can shrink them down a little more with some practice. Oh, by the way this was my first exposure to a Jewell trigger and it is worth the extra money. I have the NP3 finish on my gun which I love.
Great product!

I'd like to take the time to express my complete satisfaction over my Tar-Hunt RSG-12. It is as accurate as some of my centerfire rifles and more accurate than most I've shot over the years. Your workmanship clearly shows in every detail.
A target I recent shot from a bench at 100 yards produced a four shot group that measured 1.0 inch from center to center of the widest spread. My next three shots produced a .70 inch group. Not bad for a shotgun! Some owners of rifles could only wish for such a group.
I'm proud to say I own a Tar-Hunt RSG-12. I already know two people that wish to purchase a gun exactly like mine. After they saw it, felt it, and saw it shoot, their exact words were, "I've got to have this firearm in my collection!" They both own custom 12 gauge slug guns made by another manufacturer that they said could not hold a candle to the RSG-12.
Thank you again for your fine efforts and workmanship.

The Tar-Hunt rifled slug gun I purchased continues to do a great job. It is one of my favorite weapons. This is a 150 yard gun for deer -- no problem. I loaned the gun to my brother for the New Jersey deer season. He took two bucks at about 125 yards each. You can clearly hear the hit at that distance. My brother will probably want one of these guns now!
Keep up the good work, and Thank You!
